Founded in 1954, The University of Virginia’s College at Wise is a four-year, nationally-accredited college situated on a scenic 369-acre campus amid the Appalachian Mountains in Southwest Virginia.

Many of our students graduate without the burden of debilitating student debt – in fact, our alumni carry the lowest debt load of any public liberal arts college in the nation, with 80% of students receiving financial assistance.
