The University of Virginia's College at Wise seeks to admit students whose intellectual ability, preparation, and seriousness of purpose indicate potential for success.

Admission is competitive and is based on a review of each applicant's academic qualifications. UVa-Wise offers admission on a rolling basis, and students may be admitted for the Fall or Spring semester or for one of the Summer terms. Applicants are encouraged to apply well in advance of the term in which they wish to enroll, particularly if they are interested in campus housing and/or financial aid and scholarships.
