Health Services

Health Services at UVa-Wise provides students, faculty, and staff with a comprehensive health care program utilizing campus and community resources.

Campus Clinic
For those minor aches, pains, and coughs, students can visit the Campus Clinic in Health Services at no charge. Student fees provide for the services of our full-time registered nurse. Office hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday.

Health counseling also is provided on a variety of topics, including STD's, HIV, colds & flu, poison ivy, and nutrition.

Additional services include student health assessments, athletic physicals, allergy shots, minor first-aid treatments, blood pressure checks, and over-the-counter medications (including Tylenol, Advil, throat lozenges, cold medicines, etc.).  Visit Health Services today for these free services.

Students may also schedule an appointment at the Campus Clinic for on-campus services provided by the Wise County Health Department each Monday and Thursday. These services, available 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, include STD/HIV screening for males and females, breast exams, pap tests, pregnancy tests, birth control pills, and Family Planning & Counseling. Fees for these services are income-based (typically there is no fee).
