The University of Virginia’s College at Wise Department of Visual and Performing Arts will host a Beatles Forum on Thursday, Oct.  28, at 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the Chapel of All Faiths.

Dr. Carroll Mullins, a UVa-Wise graduate, will lead a discussion of the history of the Beatles and the group’s impact on 1960s music and culture.  Dr. Mullins will also share information about his recent trip to Liverpool and London.

Ron Flanary, Bill Thompson, Richard Kennedy, Mark Wooten and Molly Slemp will perform a number of Beatles tunes as part of the forum, and UVa-Wise associate professor David Volk will provide musical analysis of select songs.

The free forum is open to the public. UVa-Wise students receive cultural credit for the event.
