“We deeply appreciate First Bank & Trust Company’s staunch support for UVa-Wise and our students,” said Tami Ely, vice chancellor for development and college relations. “Whether it be scholarship support, funding for our Alumni Association, or contributions to our athletics program, First Bank & Trust Company is a vital partner with our College.”

First Bank and Trust’s generous gift will ensure that qualified students have the financial means necessary to work toward a college degree, Ely added.

“First Bank & Trust Company values the relationship of belonging to a community,” said Cory Dotson vice president of the Wise and Norton offices. “This donation demonstrates our commitment to education, and provides a way to say thanks to the customers and friends who have been largely responsible for our support and growth in the Wise County and surrounding area.”
