Forum set for Sept. 18 to discuss College's goals
A public forum is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 1 p.m. in the Rhododendron Room of the Slemp Student Center to hear comments and suggestions regarding the College's foundational documents.
In preparation for the College’s SACS reaffirmation, scheduled for Spring 2015, Chancellor Donna P. Henry has formed a committee tasked with reviewing and revising the institution’s foundational documents.
The Committee on Mission and Vision spent the summer strategically examining and adjusting these defining statements, and has drafted a working document designed to capture the College’s purpose and goals. Chancellor Henry asked the committee to convene a public forum to hear comments and suggestions prior to the writing of the final document.
The forum is open to all constituencies and is intended as a venue for thoughts and suggestions on the work of the committee. Members of the committee will be in attendance to discuss the scope and nature of their work.
