Panel discussion on faculty research set for March 30 at UVa-Wise
The Lecture Committee and the Faculty Research Support Group at The University of Virginia’s College at Wise are sponsoring a faculty research panel discussion on March 30 in the Chapel of All Faiths.
The panel discussion begins at 1 p.m., and UVa-Wise students receive cultural activities credit for attending.
Amy Clark, assistant professor of English and the director of the Appalachian Writing Project, Tom Goyens, assistant professor of history, and Donald Leech, assistant professor of history, are on the panel. Puiu Vasilescu, associate professor of psychology, is the panel moderator.
The panel will discuss research opportunities that faculty members pursue and where and how the research is conducted. The professors will also discuss what discoveries they make in their research and how the research helps them teach.
