President Sullivan to speak at 60th Fall Convocation

The University of Virginia’s College at Wise will hold its 60th Fall Convocation on Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. in the David J. Prior Convocation Center.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony, which officially begins the 2014-2015 academic term. The event features the installation of Student Government Association president and the Honor Court chair. In addition, new faculty will be introduced during the ceremony.

Chancellor Donna P. Henry will deliver the State of the College Address and University of Virginia President Teresa A. Sullivan will address students, faculty and staff during the Convocation.

A student activities fair will take place on the Lawn by the Lake following the Convocation. 

The only branch campus of the University of Virginia, UVa-Wise offers Virginia's only undergraduate degree in software engineering, among 29 other degrees and professional programs in the liberal arts tradition of Thomas Jefferson.
