Office of Chancellor to sponsor Symphony of the Mountains Chamber Ensemble concert

The Symphony of the Mountains Chamber Ensemble will perform in the Chapel of All Faiths at 6 p.m. on Feb 22 in a concert sponsored by the Office of the Chancellor.

Scouts to fly quadcopter drones in first-ever indoor drone flight competition

The buzz of a hundred micro-drones will fill the air at the University of Virginia's College at Wise Convocation Center on Saturday, February 21st beginning at 9 AM as the first of its kind flight competition is held among participating Girl and Boy Scouts and other youth from throughout Southwestern Virginia and East Tennessee to measure the "Top Guns."

UVa-Wise Staff Council awards eighth scholarship

The University of Virginia’s College at Wise Staff Council has awarded its eighth scholarship to an employee of the College.

The UVa-Wise Staff Scholarship Fund, established by the Staff Council, provides support for tuition, fees and books at the College. The council is working toward establishing an endowment of $10,000.
