The Department of Business and Economics is a member of AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
The Department offers the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees with majors in accounting, business administration, and economics. The Department also offers minors in international business, finance, leadership studies, military science, accounting, business administration, and economics.
The Department’s Bachelor degrees are well suited for pre-professional study in law, consulting, /business/financial analysis, public policy or public administration. Both the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees prepare students for careers or graduate school in economics, accounting, finance, marketing, management, business administration, business education or entrepreneurship. The strong academic and professional credentials of our faculty ensures practical in-class learning environment.

Students who major in accounting, business administration, or economics will:
- Know foundational and intermediate principles of their major discipline;
- Be well prepared for entry level jobs related to their major discipline in business or other organizations;
Be able to use knowledge of their major discipline to analyze contemporary issues related to their major discipline and contribute to the businesses or other organizations of which they are a part.
