In the fall of 2007, Chris Myers begins his third year as the Sports Information Director at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise.
Myers is responsible for the promotion, publicity, publications, statistics, records and website for the UVa-Wise athletic teams.
He comes to the Cavs after serving as SID the for three years at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, an NCAA Division II member. While at ESU, Myers coordinated the 19-sport Warrior sports information office which included NCAA Division I wrestling.
The Punxsutawney, Pa. native also held SID positions at Denison (OH) University for one-year and at McMurry (Tx) University for two years over his career.
The SID spent 19 months as the assistant SID at his alma mater, Clarion University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a B.S. in communications in 1996. Myers completed his master’s in sport management two years later from East Stroudsburg University.
He and his wife, Leigh, and sons live in Wise, Va.
