Columbia, Ky. – After a second weekend tough one run defeat, 4-3, to Campbellsville, UVa-Wise battled back for the Sunday baseball split by taking Lindsey Wilson, 8-5, in the late affair.

In the two games, Mike Lang (Fredericksburg, Va.) lined three hits including a solo homer to pace the Highland Cavaliers (3-6). Brad Robbins (Big Stone Gap, Va.) added a solo homer and Matt Duffy (Martinsville, Va.) a three-run triple to highlight the offensive output. Freshman D’Andre Bussey (Va. Campbellsville saw its lead-off batter be hit by UVa-Wise’s Funk, who came on in the sixth in relief. The Tiger was sacrificed to second on a bunt and scored on the next hitter’s single for the 4-3 final.
