James Bacote returns for his ssecond season on the UVa-Wise baseball coaching staff as an assistant coach. Bacote brings quality coaching experience to the squad even at a young age.

The Philadelphia, Pa. born coach was an assistant coach the past two years at his alma mater of Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Va. He helped the team to two district tournament titles. Bacote served as head coach of the American Legion Post 310 last summer where the team fell one game short of qualifying for the state tournament.

Bacote was an outfielder for two years for Montgomery College in Germantown, Maryland before coming to UVa-Wise this year.

He is working towards his bachelor’s degree in health & physical education.comes "home" to the Wise to be part of the Highland Cavalier baseball coaching staff this season.
