Cavaliers fall to AAC rivals at Stallard

WISE, Va. – UVa-Wise had had 13 straight games snowed or rained out since it last played a game way back on Feb. 23. The rust seemed to show a bit Sunday as the Cavaliers finally got back to the diamond. UVa-Wise dropped both games of a doubleheader, 6-5 and then 16-5, to Appalachian Athletic Conference rival Milligan (Tenn.) College at Stallard Field. The Cavaliers dropped to 3-9 overall and 0-4 in the conference. Getting back on the winning track will not get any easier this week as the team from Wise travels to play North Georgia College in a two-game series spanning Tuesday and Wednesday. North Georgia is ranked seventh in the latest Top 25 poll released by the NAIA.
