Wofford Hits 18 Treys to Defeat Uva-Wise

Spartanburg, SC – Wofford College hit a school-record 18 three-point field goals to defeat UVA-Wise Saturday afternoon. The NCAA Division I Terriers rode the good long-rang shooting to a 91-46 over the Highland Cavaliers.
The Terriers' first eight field goals of the game were all 3-pointers. Wofford (3-4) made 14 field goals in the first half, 12 of them from beyond the arc, as they led 47-20 at the half.
The Cavs (4-8) drop their third game to a NCAA Division I opponent on the year. Zydrunas Rackauskas and Parker Gemmell dropped in 14 points apiece to lead Uva-Wise. Rackauskas went 10 for 10 from the foul line and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Eric Marshall led the Terriers with 20 points as all six of his field goals came from three-point. Byron Fields scored 15 points while Shane Nicholls tallied 12 points.
The Cavs return to action Tuesday night for an Appalachian Athletic Conference road game at Tennessee Wesleyan starting at 7:30 p.m.
