Tenn. Wesleyan Hands UVa-Wise Another Tough Loss

Athens, TN – Two similar halves splled doom for the UVa-Wise men's basketball team Tuesday night. Tennessee Wesleyan outscored UVa-Wise by seven in the first half and by eight in the second to take away the 77-62 victory.
The Cavs dropped their sixth game in a row to fall to 4-9 overall and 1-4 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. The Bulldogs improved to 6-4 and 4-1 in the conference.
Freshman Zydrunas Rackauskas hit six of 12 shots for 17 points and a team-high eight rebounds in the loss. Jarred Soled hit four three-pointers for 14 points and Parker Gemmell added 13 tallies. Seth Gibson rounded out the double figure scorers with 10 points.
UVa-Wise will return to action Friday night for a 7:30 p.m. affair at Milligan College.
