Lions roar by Cavs, 65-62

DAYTON, Tenn. – UVa-Wise ended its brief two-game road trip Saturday with a 65-62 loss to Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn. The loss drops the Highland Cavs to 2-15 overall and 2-7 in the conference. The Cavs began the road trip Friday at Lookout Mountain, Ga., where they dropped a 58-50 decision to Covenant College. UVa-Wise returns to the friendly confines of Greear Gymnasium Tuesday night for an AAC tilt with regional rival Virginia Intermont College. Tip is at 7:30 p.m. The UVa-Wise women host the VI Cobras at 5:30 p.m. in Greear Gym.
