Midway Blows Past UVa-Wise Women’s Hoops

Midway, Ky. – After a tight contest a week ago in Wise, Midway College had two solid halves to blow past UVa-Wise women’s hoops on Friday night. The Eagles rode a 41-21 first half lead and coasted from that point to defeat the Lady Cavs, 80-44.

Junior Kim Norris (Eidson, Tenn.) was the lone double digit scorer for UVa-Wise (1-1) with 10 points. Brittany Maxwell (Whitewood, Va.) chipped in nine tallies and two assists. Lauren Jervis (Kingsport, Tenn.) grabbed 11 rebounds.

Danielle Lascoe paced host Midway (3-2) with 19 points and four assists.

The Lady Cavs will head right back to the court for a 5:30 p.m. Saturday night contest at Berea College.
