Womack Highlights Tough Night for Lady Cavs

Pippa Passes, Ky. – Center Adrienne Womack scored 18 points to highlight a tough night for the Lady Cavs hoops team on the road. Alice Lloyd led by nine points at the half before putting away UVa-Wise in the second half for an 81-49 win Tuesday evening.

Womack made nine of 12 attempts from the floor to pace the Lady Cavs (1-3). Meghan Rutherford chipped in 11 tallies on five of 11 shots and grabbed five boards. Kim Norris added nine points and had three assists.

Alice Lloyd (3-0) had a balanced attack with five players in double digits. Kaylan Richardson had top honors with a double-double of 16 points and 10 boards.

The Lady Cavs will be off until hosting the two-day UVa-Wise Classic starting Friday night with a 5:30 p.m. contest against Kentucky Christian.
