Scots outlast Lady Cavs, 67-54

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga.– Chelsea Lee scored 17 points and Jessica Bacon added 16, but UVa-Wise continued its court struggles, falling 67-54 to Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Covenant College on the road Friday night. Sophomore Sarah Helton also struck for double digits in scoring, pumping in 15 for the Lady Cavaliers. UVa-Wise now drops to 5-9 overall and to 5-3 in the AAC race. The Lady Cavs will attempt to snap a four-game losing streak Saturday when they travel to Dayton, Tenn., for a 2 p.m. meeting with conference rival Bryan College.
