Personal Bests Set for Cavs Runners at Roanoke Maroon Invitational

Roanoke, VA – The number of runners for the University of Virginia’s College at Wise cross country squads were not great but their times were at the Roanoke College Maroon Invitational. Five of the seven Highland Cavaliers legged out personal best times.

For the third time in three races, Sean Stiltner and Janice King paced their respective teams. Both runners took 11th in their fields. Stiltner ran 28:25 over the men’s 8k race while King came across the 5k finish line in 20:57.

Seth Collins and Bradley Sharpe rounded out the men’s participants taking 41st (31:20) and 57th (35:18). For the women, Brittney Mullins and Laura Guagliardo had solid outings with 23:04 (35th) and 23:56 (41st) while Bridget Bevins came across 56th in 27:00.

The UVa-Wise harriers will return to the next race on the docket at the King College Parents’ Day Invitational.
