Butler Joins Lady Cavs Harriers

Ashburn, Va. – The 2008 UVa-Wise cross country recruiting increased by one recently as Briar Woods’ Brittany Butler signed to join the building team.

Lady Cavs’ head coach Jason Lewkowicz continues to build the upstart harrier teams on the Wise campus.

“Brittany is an outstanding young lady who is going to be a great addition to our program,” said Lewkowicz. “She has not been running competitively that long and I expect her to cash in on the great amount of potential she has once she gets to Wise. With her work ethic and dedication, I expect her to be one of our stronger runners next year.”

Butler was the Briar Woods team captain for the cross country team as one of the team overall leaders. Brittany posted a personal best time of 20:28 over 5K. She is the daughter of Brett and Sigrid Butler of Ashburn, Va.
