Jason Lewkowicz enters in his third season as the head coach of the Highland Cavaliers cross country teams. Lewkowicz received his bachelor’s as well as his master’s degree from Appalachian State where he was a member of the track & field team. He was the assistant coach at Wautaga High School in Boone North Carolina.

As for the 2007 UVa-Wise cross country squads, Lewkowicz is very excited about the continued progress of the program and looking forward to watching this young team develop over the course of the season. In the Appalachian Athletic Conference ranks, the women are a preseason fifth pick while the men enter the fall in seven.

Lewkowicz is also the UVa-Wise Director for Residence Life.

A native of Shelby North Carolina, Lewkowicz is married to Wendy, the cheerleading and dance team advisor, and they have a three-year old son, Noah, and a new born baby, Eli.
