CAVALETTES
About UVa-Wise Cavalettes
Dance is a year-round activity, dancing both at football games' halftimes and girls and boys basketball games' half tims. We are also expected to help motivate the crowd and cheer during the games.
The Cavalettes serve many purposes
- To help lead the crowd in designated cheers along with promoting school spirit during our dances
- To promote school spirit through group endeavor.

Tryout Information
- Held during spring semester, usually in April or May, unless another try-out is needed in late August.
- Tryouts consist of a two day, nine hours total
- Materials include a dance, leaps, turns, and various other dancing techniques
Facts
- Dance at home football games. (away games vary)
- Dance at all home men's and women's basketball games.
- Participate in Homecoming activities. (Games, Parade, and Bonfire)
- Participate in several community service events.
- Must maintain a GPA of 2.0
