DuShawn Austin starts his second season on coach Wasem’s staff. He will be the Cavs’ secondary coach after leading the defensive backfield which posted 12 interceptions and tied a school record with two pick-offs returned for scores.
Coach Austin has coached football that spans more than a decade including 10 years at Moreno Valley (CA) High School and five more years at Victor Valley College in Victorville, CA.
Austin played college football for Cal State Fullerton. He and his wife, Roseanne, live in Johnson City, TN and have three children, Shaniece, 14, Samantha, 6, and Shane, 5.
