Bentley Leads Cavs Golfers at Tusculum

Greeneville, TN -- Bryan Bentley produced two solid days on the golf course to pace the UVA-Wise golfers at the Tusculum Invitational. Bentley finished tied for eighth place which is exactly the same placing for the Cavs' team.
Host Tusculum College won its own invitational with two team rounds of 283 for a 566 and -2 final score. St. Andrews Presbyterian was a distant second place (575) for a +7. UVA-Wise tied with Lincoln Memorial at 603 for a +35, four strokes from seventh.
Bentley fired identical rounds of 72 and 72 for a 144 two-day total to tie for eighth. Shane McDavid was five strokes behind Bentley with a 149 (t21st) while John Graham (t36th) came in next for UVA-Wise at 153. Rhyne Hammitt and Ryan Robbins completed the Cavs team tied for 45th (157) and 50th (165).
The UVA-Wise golfers will next take part in the Morehead State Invitational on October 8-10.
