Cavs Golfers Start Spring at Tusculum

Greeneville, TN – Brad Phillips and Shane McDavid posted a good round apiece as The University of Virginia’s College at Wise started its spring golf season at the Tusculum Invitational.
The Highland Cavaliers put together team round scores of 323 and 313 for a two day 636 to tie for 13th. Host Tusculum won the invitational with a 579 followed by USC Upstate (587) and Brevard (606).
Phillips hit a first day 77 and McDavid lined a second day 74 while both finishing with a 157 two-day total to tie for 42nd. John Graham tied for 55th with a 160. Bryan Bentley posted a 164 (68th) and Patrick King had a 165 (t69th) to round out the Cavs finishers.
The team will now be off until the 21st when they take part in the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational.
