Graham Completes Geico Golf Invite as Top Cavs Player

Savannah, Ga. – John Blake Graham completed the three-round Geico Invitational on Saturday late afternoon at the top Highland Cavaliers’ player. The senior shot a three round 238 to pace the UVa-Wise effort in the 16 team field.
Graham shot rounds of 81 and 79 on the second day as he tied for 53 rd overall. As a team, the Cavs lost ground in the final standings going from 13 th to 16 th with a 990 total just three shots behind North Carolina Wesleyan (987). Host Ohio Wesleyan claimed the title at 899, five strokes better than USC-Beaufort (904) and six less than Creighton (905).
Rhyne Hammitt and Bryan Bentley had identical 164 scores for Saturday and were separated by just a single stroke at 246 and 247 for the tournament. Evan Sturgill added a 259 tally with two rounds of 87 while Matt Faircloth rounded out the team with a 283.
The Cavs will next take part in the Southeastern Kentucky Invitational from March 26-28.
