Wilson Completes UVA-Wise Softball 2008 Recruiting Class

Wise, VA – The final piece of the 2008 UVA-Wise softball recruiting class was made recently in the signing of Appalachia High School ’s Erin Wilson. The pitcher is the sixth softball signee for next season of the Lady Cavaliers.

Head coach Tori Raby-Gentry will welcome Wilson to the team which went 32-27, made its second trip to NAIA National Championships after its second NAIA Region XII title and won the fourth-straight Appalachian Athletic Conference crown and fifth in six seasons.

Wilson picked up All-Lonesome Pine District and All-Region D honors in each of the last two seasons for the Lady Bulldogs.

“Erin is a versatile competitor that may see time in the circle, as well as at other positions. Erin is a "gamer." She has a great work ethic and will be a gritty addition to our team, said Raby-Gentry of Wilson.
