In 2005, The University of Virginia’s College at Wise christened its new softball facility. The field is situated on the ridge diagonally behind Fred Greear Gymnasium on the college’s campus.
The complex is complete with a press box, three permanent seating sections, full dugouts and a bluegrass mix for the playing surface. The field has 200 foot dimensions around the outfield.
The Lady Cavs had a solid first two seasons playing on their new field by posting a combined 25-8 mark for a .758 winning percentage. |
