Kuich and Wood Post Tough Wins but UVa-Wise Falls to Brevard Men's Tennis

Wise, VA -- Henning Kuich and Derick Wood posted tough fought victories but The University of Virginia's College at Wise men's tennis fell to Brevard College Sunday afternoon. Kuich and Wood won two close sets at the top two singles spots but Brevard won the bottom four singles and two doubles for the 6-3 victory.

Kuich won identical 7-5 and 7-5 sets at one singles while Wood won 7-6(4) and 6-4 at second singles for the Cavs (1-8/0-5 AAC). Wood and Chris Kostic won the first doubles by an 8-4 score but the team could not take any other matches from Brevard (5-8/2-0 AAC).

The Cavs will next host Montreat College on Tuesday afternoon starting at 3:00 p.m.
