Kostic Posts Lone Win for Cavs

Wise, VA -- Chris Kostic posted a straight sets men's tennis victory but Milligan College claimed the match over UVa-Wise. The Buffaloes took care of the Highland Cavaliers by an 8-1 final tally Tuesday afternoon.

Kostic claimed the third singles bout by 6-4 and 6-2 scores. The Cavs (2-11) had solid performances by its top two players, Henning Kuich and Derick Wood, as well. Ryan Reynolds defeated Kuich in a tight match with scores of 6-4, 4-6 and 10-6 in the tiebreaker. Wood dropped two close sets to the Buffs' (5-7) Tom Jones by 6-4 and 7-5 games.

UVa-Wise will next host Alice Lloyd College on Thursday starting at 5:00 p.m.
