Cavs Tennis Returns to Win Column

Wise, VA -- The Highland Cavaliers played tough but fell in the past few matches against the top of the Appalachian Athletic Conference before returning to the win column on Tuesday. UVa-Wise snapped a six-match losing streak by prevailing, 6-3, over Montreat College.
Four Cavs (2-8/1-5 AAC) posted two wins on the day. Henning Kuich lost only two games at the top singles while Derick Wood, Chris Kostic and Daniel Robinson won their bouts. The quartet teamed to win the top two doubles matches to lead the squad to the victory past Montreat (1-6/0-2 AAC).
UVa-Wise remains at home where they will entertain Tennessee Wesleyan on Humphries Court for a 2:00 p.m. start.
