Cavs Ace Bears on Perfect ‘Senior Day’ of Men’s Tennis

Wise, VA – On a brisk Monday afternoon, the Highland Cavaliers could not have scripted a better ‘Senior Day’ for the 2006 men’s tennis squad. UVA-Wise was able to blank Pikeville College, 9-0, as lone senior Chris Kostic led the charge with a near perfect two wins.

UVA-Wise finished its regular season with a 3-8 mark.

Kostice claimed the top singles win with a 6-1 and 6-0 straight sets victory over Adam Miller. The senior teamed with Henning Kuich for a solid 8-0 top doubles win to highlight the day.

The Cavs will now head to the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament in the Liberty Tennis Complex in Johnson City, TN on Friday and Saturday.
