Cavs Take Care of Buffs Men’s Tennis

Johnson City , Tenn. – The UVa-Wise men’s tennis team claimed four victories in the top five singles matches to lead to a 6-3 Appalachian Athletic Conference victory over Milligan College Sunday afternoon.

Wes Strugill recorded a hard fought win at fifth singles taking Jeremiah Kay in two close sets, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4). Sturgill also teamed with Henning Kuich, who won the top singles, in an 8-0 shutout in second doubles on the day.

The Cavs will now be off until hosting Pikeville College on Thursday night starting at 5:00 p.m.
