Crowder & UVa-Wise Men’s Tennis Blanks Pikeville

Wise, Va. – Caleb Crowder was one of three UVa-Wise men’s tennis straight set shut outs in a 9-0 Thursday afternoon victory over Pikeville College.

Crowder, Henning Kuich and Derrick Wood posted 6-0, 6-0 shut outs at the top three singles for the Cavs (4-5). Aaron McMahon was close to being as dominate with a 6-2, 6-0 win. Robert Bareford and McMahon claimed the top doubles match while Wes Sturgill and Daniel Robinson had the other doubles win.

The Cavs will play a weekend pair of matches with a Saturday bout at Berea and take on Brescia Sunday at the same location.
