Lady Cavs Tennis Drops Another Match to Ranked NCAA DII Foe

Harrogate, TN – The tough competition for the Lady Cavs tennis team continued on Saturday. The University of Virginia’s College at Wise fell to NCAA Division II 33rd-ranked Lincoln Memorial by an 8-1 final.

The Lady Cavs were able to pick up their lone victory at third doubles. Rhyssa Philipp and Kyndall Wininger prevailed 8-4 over Jennifer Pardo and Rachel Redmond. Top singles Davina Dishner was the lone UVa-Wise player to win more than two games as she fell 1-6, 2-6 to Helena Sokolova.

UVa-Wise will return home to take on Emory & Henry College for a 1:00 p.m. match on Sunday.
