Lady Cavs Tennis Blanked by Nationally-Ranked Tusculum

Greeneville, TN – The Lady Cavs women’s tennis squad started the 2006 season on a tough note. The 29th-ranked NCAA Division II Tusculum College team blanked The University of Virginia’s College at Wise Saturday afternoon by a 9-0 tally.
The Lady Cavs saw top singles player Davina Dishner play well as she fell 3-6, 2-6. Nicole Pilkenton and Laura King made a good run at second doubles but fell short 5-8.
UVa-Wise will open its home docket on Tuesday afternoon when both tennis teams host Mars Hill for a 3:00 p.m. affair.
