Lady Cavs Shutout Maryville Tennis

Wise, VA – After securing their first victory Sunday afternoon, the Lady Cavs tennis posted its first shutout coming against Maryville (TN) College. Uva-Wise took the tennis match 9-0 over the Lady Scots.

Davina Dishner and Laura King played three sets before winning their matches at the top (6-4, 3-6, 6-1) and third singles (4-6, 6-2, 6-1). Autumn Lauzon and Kyndall Wininger had the easiest times at the second and sixth singles with identical 6-0, 6-1 scores to help UVa-Wise improve to 2-3 as a team.

The Lady Cavs will now be off until traveling to Pikeville College on March 19th.
