Cavs Tennis Blanks Bears

Wise, VA -- The University of Virginia's College at Wise tennis teams blanked Pikeville College Tuesday afternoon. The Highland Cavaliers coasted past the Bears by identical 9-0 scores.

Derick Wood and Adam Meadows claimed singles wins for the Cavs' men (3-11) while Davina Dishner and Rhyssa Philipp won their women's bouts. The Lady Cavs improved to 12-4 for the season.

Both teams will drive for an Appalachian Athletic Conference tennis crown this weekend in the league tournament in Johnson City, TN on Friday and Saturday.
