Lady Cavs Sweep Lady Bulldogs Tennis

Wise, VA -- The Lady Cavs swept through the doubles and won the opening two singles to easily defeat the Lady Bulldogs on a wet Saturday. UVa-Wise defeated Tennessee Wesleyan by a 5-0 final.

On the day, Laura King posted two victories of the five for the team. King won the third singles match in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, after teaming with Nicole Pilkenton for an 8-6 for the second doubles. UVa-Wise improved as a team to 9-4 on the season and remained in second place in the Appalachian Athletic Conference at 6-1. The Lady Bulldogs dropped to 2-5 and 0-3 in the league.

UVa-Wise will travel to Maryville (TN) for a Sunday afternoon match.
