Trio Headlines AAC Women's Tennis Honorees

Johnonson City, TN – The trio of Davina Dishner, Autumn Lauzon and Laura King headlined the UVA-Wise women's tennis Appalachian Athletic Conference honorees. The three Lady Cavs made the all-conference squad while Nicole Pilkenton received honorable mention acclaim.
The all-league players helped UVA-Wise (13-5) take second in both the regular season and conference tournament. The team will move onto next Friday's NAIA Region XII championships in Berea, KY.
Dishner, Lauzon and King all repeated on the All-AAC team. Dishner, a senior and the top singles player, wrapped up an 8-9 season while Lauzon, the number two and a junior, went 12-4. The two teamed together at the top doubles spot and were 11-6.
King, a senior, took care of the third singles spot and went 8-7. She teamed with fellow senior Pilkenton at the second doubles for a 10-7 mark. Pilkenton, who earned her first honors, was 11-5 as the fourth position singles player.
King was also selected for the second time onto the AAC All-Sportsmanship team. She was joined by Lauzon, Pilkenton and junior Audra Fritz onto the Academic All-AAC team to round out the awards.
