UVa-Wise Takes Tenn. Wesleyan, Fall to Milligan in AAC Semis

Johnson City, Tenn. – Third-seed UVa-Wise was able to prevail, 5-3, over Tennesee Wesleyan in the Appalachian Athletic Conference first round but could not overtake the second-seed Milligan College in the semifinals falling 5-1.

In the first round, the Lady Cavs had their way with the Lady Bulldogs. The team took two of three doubles bouts before claiming victories by Autum Lauzon, Kelsey Adkins and Carrie Howard to win the match.

UVa-Wise did not fare as well in the semifinals against Milligan. Lauzon and Rhyssa Philipp won the squad’s lone victory in the top doubles match, 8-6. The Lady Buffs held on to win the first three completed singles matches for the 5-1 win.
