Dye & Howard Pace Lady Cavs Tennis Saturday

Berea , Ky. – Beth Dye and Carrie Howard captured three wins together to help pace the Lady Cavs tennis over the Pioneers, 7-2, on Saturday afternoon.

The two former teammates at Honaker High combined to take the fourth and sixth singles and together won the third doubles for UVa-Wise over host Berea College. The victories included Dye’s marathon win where she battled back from losing the first set to take two tiebreakers for the win.

Kelsey Adkins and Rhyssa Philipp both won two times on the day as well for the Lady Cavs (4-5).

UVa-Wise will be off until playing in the first round of the Appalachian Athletic Conference playoffs on Friday, April 18th.
