Lauzon and Howard Propel Lady Cavs over Wasps

Emory, Va. – Senior Autumn Lauzon and sophomore Carrie Howard propeled UVa-Wise to a road women’s tennis victory, 6-3, on Wednesday afternoon at Emory & Henry College.

Lauzon claimed a straight sets top singles win for the Lady Cavs (3-4) and teamed with Kyndall Winninger for a top doubles victory. Howard battled back from a set down to take the next two including a close 7-5 third set for the sixth singles win and combined with Beth Dye in a convincing 8-1 doubles win.

The Lady Cavs will next host Covenant College on Saturday afternoon slated for an 11:00 a.m. start.
