Dishner Earns Second NAIA Region XII Setter of the Week Acclaim

Wise, VA – For the second time in the opening month of the 2005 season, the University of Virginias College at Wises Davina Dishner earned her second NAIA Region XII Setter of the Week announced today.

The junior from Gate City, VA helped the Lady Cavs, 6-3 and tied for third in the region rankings, split two matches last week as they lost at Brevard before defeating Mountain State at home.

In the two matches, the setter averaged 12.83 assists per game, 1.67 digs and an ace per contest.  She handed out 41 assists, lined six aces and hit two kills against Brevard before Dishner had 36 assists, 10 digs and two kills over Mountain State.

Dishner and the UVa-Wise team will return to action Friday night when they host Bryan College starting at 7:00 p.m.
