Spikers Shutout Second Opponent of Week in Milligan

Bristol , VA – The University of Virginia's College at Wise women's volleyball team ran their game winning streak to six by recording a second shutout of the week. The Lady Cavs took care of Milligan College, 3-0, Thursday night in Greear Gym by game scores of 30-18, 31-29 and 30-28.

UVa-Wise pulled back to within one game of Appalachian Athletic Conference leader King College with a 2-1 league mark. The Lady Cavs improved to 4-2 overall while the Lady Buffs dropped to 0-3 for the year and 0-2 in the AAC.

Kate Daub and Tasha Viers downed 13 and 12 kills to pace the frontline attack. Sarah Sinclair added eight kills while Cara Hamilton dug 16 balls. Setter Davina Dishner posted 41 assists on the night.

The Lady Cavs return to Greear Gym Saturday afternoon against Union College in a match that has been moved up to a 12noon start time.
