King Takes UVA-Wise Volleyball in Three

Wise, VA -- King College proved why it has the top women's volleyball team in the Appalachian Athletic Conference on Turesday night. The Lady Tornados took care of the UVA-Wise Lady Cavs in three games by scores of 30-24, 30-19 and 30-13.
King improved to 16-5 on the season and remained a perfect 12-0 in the AAC. UVA-Wise drops to 7-11 for the year and 3-7 in the league.
Leading the Lady Cavs on the night, Natasha Viers was the lone double kill player with 12. She also led the team with eight digs. Leeza Dos Santos and Cara Hamilton handled the setting with 14 and 11 set assists. Freshman Emily Helms lined five service aces. Britney Lawson added six digs and one ace.
The Lady Cavs hit the road for three weekend contests starting at Bryan College for a 6:30 p.m. Friday night match.
