Brevard Takes UVA-Wise Spikers in Four

Brevard, NC -- Brevard College ended the UVA-Wise women's volleyball three-game win streak Tuesday night. After dropping the first two games, 24-30 and 15-30, the Lady Cavs took the third game, 31-29, before the Lady Tornados ended the match with a 28-30 fourth contest win.

UVA-Wise (10-14) was paced by the trio of Kristen Salyer, Kate Daub and Emily Helms. Salyer downed 13 kills, dug 13 balls and lined two aces. Daub produced 13 kills and two aces while Helms chipped in 10 kills, four blocks and two aces. Cara Hamilton handed out 39 assists and Britney Lawson dug 22 attacks.

The Lady Cavs return to Appalachian Athletic Conference action Friday night at Union College for a 6:30 p.m. match.
