Lady Cavs’ Pair Gain Academic All-AAC Standing

Wise, Va. – The Lady Cavs women’s volleyball pair of Britney Lawson and Leeza Dos Santos earned Appalachian Athletic Conference All-Academic team.

The two have helped UVa-Wise a 22-13 mark, third place AAC finish and upcoming appearance in the NAIA Region XII playoffs.

Lawson carries an impressive 3.76 GPA in math education. The junior from Rye Cove, Va. was the AAC Libero of the Year and All-First team selection. She has set the record for digs in a season with 883 and 7.12 digs per game.

Dos Santos holds a 3.54 GPA with a double major in history and Spanish. The senior is one that can both play defense as well as run the offense at setter when asked. The Virginia Beach, Va. product has 362 digs and 44 aces to highlight her year to date.
